How to recover the password for your iPhone, iPad or iPod

It doesn’t matter if your device is or is not in sync with iTunes, it is possible to restore your access key iOS or Apple ID for your iPod, iPad or iPhone. There is hope even if you entered the wrong code six times and you find yourself before the message “iPad disabled”. All is not lost: it is possible to unlock your iPhone.

Fortunately, Apple has thought about what this may come to pass. That is why I think the possibility that the devices can be restored.

At this point the answer is: Have you made a backup of your device recently? If this is not the case you may miss out on some of your data or recent files.

In our guide show options for those who have access to iTunes, and for those who do not. The guide will also be useful for anyone who has an iPod touch.

Read What Apple recommends :

  • iPhone, iPad or iPod are synchronized with iTunes, then you can use iTunes to clean your device and delete your password.
  • If you are registered in iCloud and you have the option to ‘Find My iPhone’ enabled, then use iCloud to erasing your device.
  • When you try to connect and you cannot connect to iTunes or iCloud, you will have to use the ‘Recovery’.

1. How to retrieve your iTunes password

if you synchronized Apple recently your iPad, iPhone or iPod with iTunes on your computer, then you will be able to restore your device using the software.

Connect your iPad, iPod or iPhone to your PC or Mac with the normally synchronizes and open iTunes.

If iTunes asks you to enter your access code, use another computer with which you have previously synced. Otherwise, you need to use the recovery mode or iCloud (read on to find out how).

If the device is turned off, or if iTunes does not automatically synchronize your device, you will have to do it manually giving the ‘Synchronize’ button.

When the backup and synchronization are completed, restores your device by clicking on ‘Restore iPad (or iPhone).

When the wizard of iOS you ask about setting up your device click ‘Restore from the backup copy of iTunes’.

2. How to Use iCloud  to retrieve your

Apple password

If you have enabled the option to ‘Find My iPhone’ on your device, then you can use iCloud to delete it and restore it and thus clear the password you don’t remember.

However, you should know that doing this will also delete all the content, unless you have made a copy of iTunes or iCloud.

To do so, enter Icloud.com/find from a computer or mobile device. You will have to sign in with your Apple ID (your email address and the password you use to log in to the iOS App Store).

Once inside you will see all your devices at the top. Click the device that you want to restore to be able to retrieve your password by erasing all of its contents.

Once the previous step you will have to restore from backup or configure the device from scratch as if it were new.

3. How to use the ‘Recovery’ to retrieve your password

if you see one of the following alerts, your only option is to delete all the content of the device:

“iTunes could not connect to the [Device] because it is blocked with an access code”.

“You must enter your access code in the [Device] before it can be used with iTunes”.

“You have chosen that [the device] do not rely on this computer”.

To do so, you must first set up your device in ‘Recovery’.

Click ‘OK’ in your iTunes message that indicates that the device is in recovery mode.

Now restores the device from iTunes.
