To show the superiority of Dash Charge’s proprietary technology over competitors’ solutions, OnePlus took off the video, in which the new 5T competes in terms of charging speed with Google Pixel 2 XL, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and Apple iPhone 8 Plus. Recall, according to the manufacturer, 5T is charged in just 30 minutes for a full day of use, and for an hour the level of charge reaches almost 100%.
The capacity of the batteries of each of the smartphones participating in the test:
- OnePlus 5T – 3 300 mAh;
- Pixel 2 XL – 3 520 mAh;
- Galaxy S8 Plus – 3 500 mAh;
- iPhone 8 Plus – 2 691 mAh.
For 30 minutes, OnePlus 5T was charged up to 57%, Pixel 2 XL – up to 11%, Galaxy S8 Plus – up to 17%, and iPhone 8 Plus – up to 16%.
The fast charging speed of 5T does not have to be doubted, but there are a number of questions about the rest of smartphones. For example, OnePlus does not indicate with which chargers they passed the test. Recall that the iPhone 8 Plus does not support fast charging with a complete unit, and for Galaxy S8 Plus and even more so for Pixel 2 XL, the results were incredibly low.
